Quick update: I have been spending an AVERAGE of 14 hours per day on my phone for the past week just answering messages and comments. I'm trying hard to be an excellent content creator engaged and responsive to my followers, but it's not logistically possible. On top of that, I have hundreds of people reaching out to me wanting to start a full-on friendship or relationship. I had trouble keeping up with my friends I have in real life before anyone on the internet was paying attention to me, so, as much as I hate saying this because it sounds conceited, I really cannot have a conversation with everyone who wants to talk to me. I am genuinely sorry. If there were a thousand of me, every one of me would be over the moon to speak to you, but as it is, I'm harrowed from trying to respond to everyone. I barely eat or sleep, and it's not sustainable.
So... Everyone, you are still very welcome to reach out to me. I genuinely love getting messages of support and compliments, and I can't express how much I appreciate everyone who sends these things to me. But please, don't reach out trying to open a dialogue with me.
My relationship with all of you is, and ought to remain, strictly parasocial. I am a content creator/performer, and you are an audience member. I honestly would love to be everybody's friend, but I just can't.
To everyone who understands this and sticks around, thank you. To anyone who leaves, I promise you there is someone out there who will give you all the time in their days. To anyone who still reaches out trying to start a full-on conversation, I am sorry if I don't respond.
