I am working on stuff I already have ordered. All of June will be delivered by the end of June. I am quiet because I am really sad. I know many of you have been here through many personal losses prior to this one. Henry is hitting me very hard because even though, yes, we knew he had cancer….We thought we had more time. Things were going ok. I have never experienced a pet’s ending be so traumatic. I am struggling to compartmentalize as I normally would. My silence does not mean I am not working. Everyone handles grief differently. I am quiet and angry…. And a bit broken at the moment. I always work though. I do not know how to not do that. It will all be fine. There is no other option.

I am cranky and avoiding DMs for your own safety. Henry has a vet appointment at 5 . Wish us luck. I am preparing for bad news but I think I just do that for my own mind….so everything not awful seems great. Things are not going well though. As someone who struggles to breathe, I know he cannot be happy with his current state. Months after the diagnosis(and having been a pet caretaker for my entire life) I am still completely unprepared for what I know is inevitable. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
