Jordan: Wadi Rum - my favorite place in Jordan turned out to be Wadi Rum (I honestly thought it would be Petra). I spent the day riding in a jeep on the red sand desert, meeting camels, hiking through varied landscapes, eating lunch made from scratch by my guide, and enjoying a spectacular sunset over the red sand dunes. This place looked like Mars. The locals are all very friendly. The whole reserve is only run by true bedouins, so it's very rustic and not too commercialized.

Jordan: Wadi Rum - I spent a night in a Bedouin camp. Here, you can sleep under the stars, or in tents, depending on the season. I opted for a "luxury tent" that had heat, bedding, and the whole works! Apparently they have options to sleep inside a cave which I will definitely do next time I visit!!

Jordan: Petra - the most visited place in Jordan. To avoid the crowds, I opted to hike in through the "back door" aka Little Petra instead of the main entrance. It was a beautiful route, and I was able to enjoy the most scenic vistas 😍
